Post Malone recently sat in on Joe Rogan’s podcast, during which they discussed a number of topics for nearly four hours, including The Chainsmokers’ Hamptons concert this past weekend. Rogan seemed to initially confused why there was so much outrage over the event, until Post made clear to him that fans got out of their cars and were “all standing around,” as opposed to staying in the vehicles. They talked about what the venue did, or was supposed to do, for safety measures, but Post didn’t think the blame should be put on The Chainsmokers for what the crowd did to flaunt the rules. “It depends on intent, I think,” said Malone. “Are there cars there? Was it a drive-in concert?… that’s not on them if the people got out of the cars.” “Cuz I know the boys in the group, sweet guys… I think it was a s–tshow that just got out of f–ing hand,” he added. You can listen to the full discussion on that topic below.

All artists have been treating their time in quarantine differently. Some have still been releasing music like crazy, some haven’t, some have done every live stream they could, others have been more selective or done none at all — there’s no one way to make it through these crazy times, and when you take everyone into account, there’s no “one size fits all” solution. Both Alison Wonderland and Getter have remained relatively quiet throughout quarantine since it began in March, at least as far as releases and performances have gone. Alison has had one release since March, though it wasn’t with her as a principle artist. Getter’s last release was in February 2020. Now, within the last 24 hours, both of them have revealed they’re individually working on new music. Alison says it will be coming soon, and Getter says he’s sitting on 9 IDs. These are certainly two artists whose music is worth waiting for, stay tuned for more info!

It was hot, and way, way too cramped to the point that many who wanted to see the set weren’t able to. Thankfully, for some, we’re in a time where virtual concerts are the norm and we need not worry about capacity. At 2pm PST, DJ Snake and Malaa are going back-to-back and no matter how long it lasts or what vibe they go in, we’re excited to be along for the ride. This article was first published on Your EDM. Source: DJ SNAKE B2B MALAA – LIVE STREAM Via https://www.youredm.com/2020/07/30/dj-snake-b2b-malaa-live-stream/ In keeping with their tradition of enlisting international collaborators, Disclosure once again team up with Fatoumata Diawara on the newest single from their forthcoming ENERGY album, “Douha (Mali Mali).” Brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence first teased the song during their April Boiler Room session, live from isolation, and fans have been asking for it ever since. A sonic exploration of impressive proportions, “Douha (Mali Mali)” transports listeners from the dancefloor of collective memory, over continents to distant lands, to languish in ecstatic escape from the dire straits around us. Diawara, who featured on the duo’s GRAMMY-nominated 2018 single, “Ultimatum,” sings in celebration of her birthplace and urges all Malians to be proud of their country. The breathtaking video, directed by Mahaneela, encapsulates this concept in full. Mahaneela said, “Right now, all over the world, we’re going through an incredibly strange time. I wanted to make something that was visually beautiful, but also felt symbolic of what we’re all going through. People feel more isolated than ever and I wanted to create something joyful that really shows the power music and movement has and the connectivity it brings.” Listen/watch below! Set for August 28 release, ENERGY will also be available on vinyl, CD and cassette. Pre-order HERE.

Source: Disclosure Release Latest Single From Forthcoming Album With A Modern African Flair Via https://www.youredm.com/2020/07/30/disclosure-release-latest-single-from-forthcoming-album-with-a-modern-african-flair/ The music industry continues to struggle with how to move forward and survive during the pandemic, and that includes live music venues who have been disproportionately harmed. Many who value freedom over health and life have cried out on the internet to âjust open the clubs back up,â but weâre seeing now that it is not a model that is sustainable. This past Tuesday, English punk and folk singer-songwriter Frank Turner played the first socially distanced indoor gig in the UK, but organizers for the event have unfortunately declared the show as ânot a success,â reports BBC. Following safety guidelines, the venue only allowed 200 people of the 1,250-person capacity venue to enter the show. Staggered arrivals, temperature checks, one-way paths, distanced seats, and more were implemented. Despite all of this, the show didnât make enough to cover the venueâs operating costs. Venue manager Ally Wolf said the show was âa gesture of cooperation, an attempt to feel out the situation with an eye to taking steps in a better directionâ rather than the beginning of any sort of longer series of shows. The show and pilot program as a whole were scheduled in anticipation of August 1st, when indoor concerts will finally be permissible in England.

Now, the trio are taking on their song “No Time,” only their third remix to date, following previous reworks of Foals’ track “The Runner” and ODESZA’s “It’s Only.” It’s a beautiful song that reflects RUFUS’s own sound and the influence that Rose Avenue has had on Lastlings, all coming together in one brilliant package. “A few years ago when we first met Josh and Amy, they played us the demo for ‘No Time’ among others – we loved it – that bunch of demos was one of the things that pushed us to start the label we’d been talking about for a long time. We’re stoked to be able to put our spin on an already incredible track!” – RÜFÜS DU SOL Listen to the remix below!

Some of the names fans will have heard before, like Dropset, Inaudible and PRFCT Mandem, but the 17-track compilation has some major surprises for even the most in-the-know heads so it’s time to buckle up for massive new blood dancefloor vibes. So how did Your EDM end up being able to premiere two tracks from this massive playlist? Quite simply, neither we nor the label could decide between these two stellar tracks, so since we’re in the final hours before the LP drops, we thought why not preview both? It’s quite likely a YEDM D&B first, but if anyone deserves it, it’s these two soon to be legendary tracks. Both of these premieres are a bit off the beaten path from many of the other picks on Future Stars volume 1. Elusive London-based artist 3Föur already has a few inspired releases up on Beatport from his own label/collective called Umbrela, but he’s definitely gone all out for this LP. Hi Track “Forgotten Souls” feat. Nysza is jazzy and fluid, almost liquid in the intro but as the track moves into its main section, a rumble of deep, dark synth emerges and takes the track to the next level. It’s composed with a D&B structure but to accomodate Nysza’s extraordinary vocals, it also leaves room for a more pop verse-chorus-verse structure so both track and vocal can work together. It’s a tricky thing to do composition-wise, but 3Föur manages it seamlessly, creating a smooth, effortless vibe that will work for the dancefloor or radio play.
The next premiere is “Nothing Left to Lose”. It’s also sort of on the liquid-with-a-twist tip and it’s a collaboration within a compilation (say that five times fast). Heretofore relatively unknown D&B artist Artino teamed up with Arpex, an established house producer who’s remixed the likes of The Chainsmokers and Rain Man and been featured on Dim Mak. Their very diverse backgrounds make for a melodic dancefloor track that has its base in D&B and its sound design in rave. The thing that takes this track to the next level, however, is, once again, the vocals. Also relatively new to D&B, vocalist James Chandler brings an ethereal tone to the track that elevates it from a good dancefloor tune to something much more. Prepare for goosebumps on this one.
“Forgotten Souls” and “Nothing Left to Lose” are standouts on an album of standouts, and Korsakov Music certainly tells no lies by titling the LP Future Stars. Get in on the ground floor now with the artists on this compilation, because they’re all about to blow up.
Future Stars vol. 1 drops tomorrow, July 31 on Korsakov Music. Click here to pre-order or pre-save.

Earlier today, he said, “Sure could use a good rave. What’s your favorite techno.” Which is about as boomer a tweet as you could imagine. Now, Tiësto is putting his hat in the ring to “put a drive-in party together for everyone who drives a Tesla.”
While plenty of drive-in shows have been held successfully during quarantine, others have caused issues. Drezo announced he’d come down with COVID-19 after a show in Arizona with Seven Lions, and The Chainsmokers are in really hot water at the moment for their show in the Hamptons. That being said, Berlin has only recorded 9,000 cases of COVID-19 over the course of the pandemic, and only 223 deaths. So objectively, it’s doing better than the US at handling and containment — maybe a drive-in rave there, properly socially distanced, of course, wouldn’t be the worst thing.

This 10-minute display of musical technology and talent has us entranced, as the mastermind expertly navigates his hardware. The “galvanizing” set comes as an extension of the producer’s recent album STRICTLY BVNKER. The STRICTLY BVNKER project was recorded live on Twitch during quarantine in the last days of April 2020, capturing the essence of the producer’s streamed analogue sessions. Almost overflowing with acid synths and unhinged creativity, Boys Noize delivers some of his most immersive work to date. For a while there, Boys Noize took to Twitch for live producing, modular live jams, techno sessions, production Q&As, tips and more. However, it’s been a hot minute since he went live on his own platform. Watch his full set from Digital FORT here. Preview below.
