Eric Prydz has signed on with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) — which is great news for dance music fans hoping to see his iconic and in-demand HOLOSPHERE show. According to Billboard, Prydz will continue to be managed by Michael “Mick” Sershall of London’s Sershall Management and alongside global press team, Infamous PR. With the intent to “bring his artistic vision” to the United States, Prydz will work with his team to make HOLOSPHERE shows more accessible to his American audience. MORE: ARC Music Festival Brings ZHU, Eric Prydz, Adam Beyer, Nicole Moudaber & More to Chicago Sershall believes this move will “cement [Prydz’s] status as a truly unique and contemporary artist and a world leader in the dance space and production world.” Until this point, the awe-inspiring HOLOSPHERE production has been a rarity in the festival circuit, having debuted at Tomorrowland in 2019. Just recently, Prydz was forced to push back upcoming HOLOSPHERE shows until 2022, due to scheduling conflicts between Creamfields and Tomorrowland. The more HOLOSPHERE the better. Fans can’t wait to see the production live, in-person, especially after the year we’ve all experienced.

According to the buzz on Reddit, “Supersonic” will be repackaged and released as a new original with additional artists in the mix. Previously, the song had been making its rounds as an unreleased Skrillex x Noisia remix of Josh Pan’s OWSLA-released “Supersonic” with Dylan Brady. While fans have been living off rips of the unreleased version (listen here) for quite some time, it seems the Josh Pan x Dylan Brady x Skrillex x Noisia mega collab is finally coming to fruition. However, Josh Pan fails to mention the latter in the video clip below. Last month, Skrillex took to social media to share some reassurance: “I wanted to say to all of my fans and supporters I love you and I appreciate your patience. New music soon.” In 2019, Josh Pan and Skrillex teamed up on “4 MIND” with Boys Noize and X&G as part of Dog Blood‘s Turn Off The Lights EP. We look forward to hearing more from them soon. Watch below and get more insight on the upcoming release here. This article was first published on Your EDM. Action Paxton and Kung Fu Vampire have made their live performance intrinsic to their musical identities. Action Paxton has played Burning Man every year between 2008 and 2019, and his festival credits include Outsidelands, Oregon Eclipse Festival, World Orisa Festival, SOFA Fest and so many more events over nearly two decades internationally. Born Nicholas Elliot Woods, he’s originally from Saint Louis, Missouri, but moved to Virginia at an early age. While performing locally and working on the production aspect of music in his free time, a 16-year-old Elliott qualified for one of only five elite junior triathlon teams in the country. This led Nick to train for nearly forty hours a week and travel globally on Team USA in national and world endurance sports championships. At 6’9” tall, Elliott stood out as one of the tallest elite endurance athletes. Unfortunately, his goal of competing in the Olympics would be cut short. The 19-year-old athlete suffered a career-ending cycling accident. No longer able to race competitively at elite levels, he was left with broken dreams. With much soul searching, he came full circle and found his path through music. For the occasion, Nick has teamed up with Texas-based artist Nate Miller. His powerful vocal and his impactful songwriting are supported by Elliott’s uplifting production, providing a sense of hope and liberation to the listeners. Finally, after more than a year of waiting, DREAMLAND 2021 is here — and was it worth the wait? Absolutely. The album begins on a stellar high note with “Lost It,” a brilliantly hard and unapologetic intro with a crushing rhythm and atmospheric guitar chords and synths that serves as a perfect introduction to the album. It’s followed up by “Distant Lights,” which builds toward reckless, ecstatic abandon. In the final moments, ZHU murmurs a few lines that serve as something of a mission statement for the LP: “I don’t believe that music, dancing, the freedom of expression will be suppressed for much longer. They can’t—that’s against human nature.” The tracks that follow build on this idea, in both the primal spirit of the instrumentals and the desperate yearning of the vocals, which come from ZHU and his collaborators. Those collaborators include Channel Tress on “How Does It Feel,” Yuna on “Sky Is Crying,” Arctic Lake on the recently released “Yours,” Tinashe on the first single of the album, “ONLY,” as well as partywithray and Kota the Friend. DREAMLAND 2021 follows up ZHU’s previous album, RINGOS DESERT, another brilliant album in its own right. On today’s release, ZHU shows that his sound can remain constant and recognizable while still being elevated to yet another level and continuing to evolve and grow. Check it out below,

The project is inspired by the duo’s home state of Minnesota, largely by the harbors of Duluth. Niles Shepard writes: For our sophomore release [on Slothacid] we were excited to get a little darker and more eccentric in both sound design and musical concepts. Slothacid values creativity and we are happy to be back with another unique offering. Creative did they get. The project’s title track, “Interlaker” is a deep and groovy tech house track that samples Minnesota’s state bird (a loon). Synths, horns and expert sound design work together to mimic fog horns found on the ships of the Great Lakes. The EP’s B-side offers “Burnin Up,” a crisp and catchy track that balances tech with acid house, rounding out the EP with contagious energy. Across both productions, Niles Shepard’s versatility shines through. The EP’s darker sound is a departure from previous Niles Shepard releases like their disco house anthem, “Moon, Man” which won the 2019 Electric Forest Discovery Project. Their most recent EP, Let Us Pray, added depth to their sound and Interlaker takes this depth to new places. Interlaker is the duo’s second EP on Slothacid, preceded by their July 2020 EP, Follow Me. Other Niles Shepard releases have come via Insomniac Records and its imprint, IN / ROTATION and Box of Cats. And after hearing Interlaker, we are certain this list will only continue to grow. The series debuted last July amid the pandemic, as Tomorrowland’s flagship in-person event was forced to cancel. Around the World was groundbreaking to say the least, marking one of the first major festivals to go digital and winning a prestigious award for digital design and development. Last year’s event hosted exclusive performances from Katy Perry, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Tiësto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Eric Prydz, Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens and many more, which ticketholders could access for a limited amount of time following the live broadcast. The festival also brought back their virtual world for a special NYE stream featuring David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Boys Noize, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Diplo, Major Lazer, Martin Garrix, Snoop Dogg aka DJ Snoopadelic, and more. Michiel Beers, co-founder of Tomorrowland, previously shared of the concept: “For us it’s a bit re-inventing the festival experience, but we truly believe that we can bring the spirit of Tomorrowland and entertainment at the highest level to people and homes around the globe.” Tomorrowland is remaining as optimistic as possible for its proposed dates, set for end of August and early September. Beers just revealed to Billboard, “We’re still positive, although we realize we’re in a very complex situation.” Keep a look out for more information on Tomorrowland Around the World here. A day later, the world watched as Porter, Rezz, Buunshin x Imanu, James Ivy, Baauer, Boys Noize, and more took the stage on the virtual Secret Sky Festival (and let’s not forget Potaro, too). With a little time to process the past week, Porter is currently (at time of publishing) hosting an Ask Me Anything on Reddit and answering a ton of fan questions about Virtual Self, Nurture, Second Sky, and more. Arctic Lake. ZHU’s pensive keyboards shift to a simmering rhythm as he and UK alt-pop artist Arctic Lake – who recently joined him on the Astralwerks roster – trade vocals, evoking the uneasy tension between love in the moment and the aching for love everlasting. Mitch Bell (THEY., Tame Impala), who served as guitarist/musical director for ZHU’s 2016 NEON CITY tour, adds searing guitar. The three artists wrote the track together. Ahead of this Friday’s release of DREAMLAND 2021 on Astralwerks, fans can pre-save / pre-order the album and instantly receive “Yours” plus “Sky Is Crying” ft. Yuna and “ONLY,” ZHU’s collaboration with Tinashe. DREAMLAND 2021 was made at home during quarantine, but as ZHU crafted the new set’s grimy techno and sweaty house tracks, he imagined the record as the propulsive score to a world starting to spin back into motion. “DREAMLAND 2021 is about looking forward and creating a version of the future we want to exist in,” ZHU says.
